Jason Momoa Wishes Khal Drogo Could Have Gone Out In A Blaze Of Glory

Game of Thrones and Justice League actor Jason Momoa may be headlining some of today’s biggest projects, but it’s very clear that this is a guy who’s also a huge fan.

Speaking with EW, Momoa drove home just how much a fan he continues to be of the series that killed him off at the tail end of Season 1. In his conversations, he discussed his reactions to the previous season of the show, as well as his wishes for his character, Khal Drogo.

“All last season I was jumping around like an idiot. Seeing the Dothraki riding over the hill, going into battle, surfing their horses, it was unbelievable. It was such a cool scene. It’s also a bummer moment: Why couldn’t [Drogo] have died there! I could have died in battle. We never got to see Drogo going into battle.”

Indeed, we did not. Given how much the character’s badassery was built up, it was a bit of a shame. But when all said and done, the characters are all pawns in favor of the story at large, and he was one of the countless casualties to fall victim. And it’s not as though Momoa hasn’t done well for himself since then.

What do you think? Do you wish you could have seen Khal Drogo have a more heroic death, or is author George R.R. Martin’s less epic harsh realities better for the story at large? Let us know your thoughts down below!
