Looks like the Dune movie Going to STACKED. This past week has seen many a talent jump onto filmmaker Denis Villeneuve’s latest sci-fi film, and that trend continues with a new report from Variety. According to them, Javier Bardem is in negotiations to hop on the Frank Herbert adaptation.
Should negotiations work out, the actor will be playing the character of Stilgar, a tribe leader that assists the main character in the story, played by Timothee Chalamet. As stated above, Bardem will be joining a stacked cast that includes Rebecca Ferguson, Stellan Skarsgard, Dave Bautista, Oscar Isaac, and Zenda, the latter two of whom are still in negotiations.

Below is the synopsis for the novel on which the Dune film is based:
“Set on the desert planet Arrakis, Dune is the story of the boy Paul Atreides—who would become known as Muad’Dib—and of a great family’s ambition to bring to fruition humankind’s most ancient and unattainable dream.
A stunning blend of adventure and mysticism, environmentalism and politics, Dune won the first Nebula Award, shared the Hugo Award, and formed the basis of what is undoubtedly the grandest epic in science fiction.”
