According to a new report from Deadline, Jeff Loveness has been tapped to write Avengers: The Kang Dynasty for Marvel Studios. Loveness’ most recent work for Marvel was as writer of Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania. Given that Quantumania will feature Kang as its main antagonist, this actually makes a lot of sense. That is of course if Marvel Studios is happy with Quantumania‘s finished product (or close to finished).
We already have a director in place for the next big Avengers movie and that’s Shang-Chi director Destin Daniel Cretton. Casting on these Avengers movies will come down to a combination of who they can get and who they wish to use from the MCU roster. I’d therefore expect it to take a little time before we start to hear any rumblings of who will make up a new Avengers team. It feels like creating from scratch again at this point, which is cool.
About the only thing we can say about The Kang Dynasty is that the bad guy will be Kang, or a variety of Kang’s.
Here is exactly what was reported by Deadline.
Sources tell Deadline that Jeff Loveness, who recently wrote Ant-Man and Wasp: Quantumania, will pen Kang Dynasty for Marvel. Loveness will join Destin Daniel Cretton, who was recently set as director on the project, with Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige producing.
Marvel had no comment. The pic is set to bow on May 2, 2025.

We are still almost 3 years from the release of The Kang Dynasty. I guess there will be a long period of zero news until the rumor mill picks back up again. Given that Loveness needs to go through variations on the script that are ultimately accepted by Feige, Cretton etc.
What do you think of Jeff Loveness tapped to write Avengers: The Kang Dynasty? Are you pleased, or like me will you reserve judgement until you see Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania? Thoughts below as always.
