Jennifer Lawrence as Sue Storm may be intriguing to her fans as the entertainment rumor spread like wildfire over this weekend.
However, Justin Kroll, a writer at the entertainment trade site Deadline Tweeted that it’s not possible that she signed on for the new Marvel movie at this time.
“All I’m gonna say is this, Marvel just started meeting with writers on Fantastic Four, there is no script and it will be a while before this film starts shooting,” Tweeted Kroll on his personal account.
The rumor started from Daily Mail, which is known as a celebrity gossip site.
Daily Mail Australia’s Marta Jary wrote that many Marvel movies now shifted their productions to Australia in her exclusive report. Part of the headline reads, “Jennifer Lawrence heading to Australia to film new Fantastic Four film.”
Interestingly enough, the author cited its competitor as a source from the Daily Telegraph Australia. However, that link appeared to be non-existent or taken down.

Jennifer Lawrence already played a major character in the Marvel Universe as Mystique for four X-Men movies for Fox, including First Class, Days of Future Past, Apocalypse, and Dark Phoenix. It doesn’t eliminate the possibilities since Chris Evans and Michael B. Jordan both appeared in Fantastic Four movies before shifting to Captain America and Erik Killmonger.
Despite the news, the Twittersphere is enjoying the rumor and the debate. After all, many WandaVision fans believe John Krasinski will appear on the Disney+ show as Reed Richards. Also, that idea may be a pipedream of Kransinki’s fans.
“You’re like, ‘Do you have any interest in not shattering people’s dreams?’” Krasinski responded to Total Film Magazine. “I would love to be in the Marvel Universe. I love those movies because they’re fun, but I also think they’re really well done. And certainly, a lot of my friends are in those movies. I have no idea what [Marvel] is thinking. But if they are considering me for Mr. Fantastic, continue to consider me because I would love it.”
In the end, it’s always fun to speculate the possible casting news of comic book films.
There is no official release date for the Fantastic Four movie at this time.
What do you guys think? Do you want Jennifer Lawrence to play Sue Storm in the upcoming Fantastic Four movie?
