Forbes reports that Joker will cross the $1 Billion mark today at the worldwide Box Office, making it the first R-Rated film to accomplish this feat.

Currently, the film sits at $988 million entering it’s seventh weekend of release. Domestically, the film has grossed $316.692 million. What’s most impressive is the film was not released in China, one of the world’s biggest markets for Hollywood Blockbusters, and will still likely gross more than The Dark Knight which brought in $1.004 billion. This makes Joker the highest grossing and most profitable appearance of the classic Batman villain on the big screen, with its budget that is incredibly low for a comic book movie.

Previously, Joker already became the highest grossing R-Rated film, but this new milestone make’s the film’s performance all the more impressive.
