Jon & Erich Hoeber Scripting Mighty Mouse For Paramount Animation

A classic cartoon character is looking to make his way back into the spotlight. Back in 1942 Mighty Mouse was created as an homage to Superman as he has many of the same powers as the Man of Steel like super strength, flight and x-ray vision created by Terrytoons’ boss Paul Terry after he changed Isadore Klein’s Super Fly character. Mighty Mouse starred in Mighty Mouse Playhouse that ran from 1955 to 1967. Although he appeared in other animated series, they did not have the same popularity as the original.

Now Paramount Animation is looking to recapture some older fans as well re-introduce Mighty Mouse to the younger audience. According to Deadline, Jon and Erich Hoeber have been brought in to script a Mighty Mouse animated film. Karen Rosenfelt and Robert Cort will be producing the film which is said to be a hybrid meaning a mix of live-action and animation.

Jon and Erich Hoeber wrote the upcoming film My Spy starring Dave Bautista, Chloe Coleman, Kristen Schaal and Ken Jeong. They also scripted Meg as well as the Red action films. They are repped by Verve and Peikoff Mahan.
