Jonathan Majors And Management Company Part Ways After Abuse Allegations

Jonathan Majors and his management company have parted ways following Majors recent abuse allegations.

It has come to light that Jonathan Majors and his management company have parted ways following Majors recent abuse allegations. So far we have only touched on the implications of this case. Though on our podcasts and videos the discussions have been had in depth. The facts are simply, that Majors (pictured on the right in header next to Creed III star Michael B. Jordan) was arrested and then charged on abuse allegations against his girlfriend. Majors and his reps denied the claims and posted text messages from the alleged victim to Majors to ‘prove’ there was nothing in it.

From here on we are dependent on the criminal justice process taking place. In other words, until this is resolved, we cannot say what happened or what will happen. As far as LRM‘s chief concern, it would be how this affects Majors roles in ongoing franchises. Which mainly for now means the MCU and his role as Kang, which would continue for some time to come. The rumor mill says that Marvel have had discussions, but no decisions had yet been made.

However most recently we have the news from Deadline that Majors and his management company have now parted ways.

Majors Parts With Management Company

Here are the relevant quotes as per the trade’s article:

Talent manager Entertainment 360 has dropped Jonathan Majors, several sources tell us. The recent move by Majors’ longtime manager comes three weeks after the Magazine Dreams star was arrested on domestic violence charges in New York City.

Currently starring in Creed III and Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania, Majors’ departure was due to issues surrounding the actor’s personal behavior, we are informed.

Majors’ representation problems don’t stop with Entertainment 360. PR firm The Lede Company also initiated a break with the Avengers actor in the last month.

As a more minor element of this, Majors and fashion house Valentino “mutually agreed” that the actor would not be attending this year’s Met Gala as one of its guests.

Entertainment 360 and Lede Company did not return requests for comment.

Now, whichever way you look at this, none of this is a good sign for Majors. I’m all for innocent until proven guilty. However we all know that is just not how the world works in the public eye. If public opinion turns against Majors, whether guilty or not, his PR firms have the right to drop him, without waiting for the justice system to make a call.

At this point, given Disney’s reactionary past, my guess is they could look to drop Majors. Loki Season 2 is in the can, but I could see them hiring someone new for whatever project comes next. That’s not me advocating for that decision, nor against it. Luckily, I don’t run Disney, and don’t have to make this call. I can wait for the law to decide, however Disney cannot. Therefore, this is merely a guess at what I think they will do as a studio.

I think the fallout to start to build rather quickly on this one folks, so keep an eye on this story developing.
