Justice League: New Flash Video Delves Into Barry Allen’s Abilities

The Flash is a character I’m looking forward to seeing more and more as the marketing material for Justice League rolls out. Taking the youthful energy and mixing it together with Ezra Miller’s own fanboyish nature, and you have what seems to be pure gold.

In the new “First Look” video from AT&T, we get an even better look at what Barry Allen is like, and they’re really doubling down on the “eccentric outcast” aspect of the character, which is a great way to go, especially with everyone else being so much more experienced than him.

“Barry Allen is criminally excited to be a part of the Justice League,” said Exra Miller.

We can’t say we blame him.

In addition to all that, we get to see an extension of the scene following Flash’s line about pushing people and running away. From the sound of it, Batman himself is giving him pointers on how to deal with the fear the character is facing. I can’t help but feel the Stark-Parker dynamic here, and I’m okay with it.

Fueled by his restored faith in humanity and inspired by Superman’s (Henry Cavill) selfless act, Bruce Wayne (Ben Affleck) enlists newfound ally Diana Prince to face an even greater threat. Together, Batman and Wonder Woman work quickly to recruit a team to stand against this newly awakened enemy. Despite the formation of an unprecedented league of heroes — Batman, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, Cyborg and the Flash — it may be too late to save the planet from an assault of catastrophic proportions.

Justice League hits theaters on October 18, 2017.
