Up until the release of Justice League, there were rumors circulating about Superman donning his black suit. Given the direction the story was seemingly going in, it made sense. Even after Justice League hit theaters, and the suit was nowhere to be found, there were rumors of it existing in an earlier version of the film.

Oh, how such rumors were exaggerated. The Blu-ray release of the film has the deleted scene. It’s 45 seconds of footage, and while yes, it does indeed show the black suit, it’s not in the way you’d expect. Check out the footage above from a site called Legião dos Heróis.

In the clip, we see Superman enter the Fortress of Solitude. As he walks down the corridor, we see a couple suits open up, and one of them is the black Superman suit. Sadly, Clark Kent doesn’t even look at it, and after swinging open, it sits there, slightly out of focus, in the background, before disappearing behind closed doors again.

So yeah. It turns out the Man of Steel didn’t even wear the suit, and this was nothing more than a nod to knowing fans.

I think it’s a real snoozer of a scene, and kind of a letdown, but what do you think? Do you agree with me, or do you wish it was in the finished film? Let us know your thoughts down below!
