Justice League: Wonder Woman Gets A Trailer Teaser & Poster

The countdown continues today! Yesterday, Warner Bros began releasing a series of teasers that show off all the members of the Justice League in anticipation of the forthcoming trailer. So far, we’ve seen the likes of Aquaman, Batman, and The Flash, and now Wonder Woman.

Wonder Woman is in a particularly special position when compared to the other members of the Justice League in that she has a new filmcoming up very soon. Over the course of the past several months, we’ve grown very used to seeing trailers for her upcoming movie. As such, you have to wonder if the mainstream audience is going to have a bit of a hard time understanding how Justice League fits into this whole deal. For all we know, they may actually start thinking that they’re the same movie. While I’d like to think that audiences have been trained by Marvel Studios over the past several years, the fact is that there are plenty of people who go to the movies for pure escapism from their day to day, and they very little to no knowledge about all the behind the scenes stuff like everyone else.

As far as how this footage hit me, however, it was a bit underwhelming. While with the other three, I felt like we got to see some new stuff, this Wonder Woman footage feels very reminiscent of the stuff we’ve been seeing from the trailers to her own movie. The imagery is a bit redundant, and while this isn’t necessarily a bad thing, I do wonder if this could affect the film in a negative way.

Fueled by his restored faith in humanity and inspired by Superman’s (Henry Cavill) selfless act, Bruce Wayne (Ben Affleck) enlists newfound ally Diana Prince to face an even greater threat. Together, Batman and Wonder Woman work quickly to recruit a team to stand against this newly awakened enemy. Despite the formation of an unprecedented league of heroes — Batman, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, Cyborg and the Flash — it may be too late to save the planet from an assault of catastrophic proportions.

Justice League hits theaters on November 17, 2017.
