The film follows a British aid worker named Hana that returns to the ancient city of Luxor, Egypt. She is haunted by her recent past and is now contemplating taking on another future assignment. With Luxor‘s release today, LRM Online had the opportunity to talk with Karim Saleh, who plays the role of Sultan. During our conversation, one of the biggest topics is the relationship between Sultan and Hana. Their re-connection with each other has brought fourth feelings in both of them that predate their career paths. Now in one of the most well conserved ancient cities in the world, we find these two also stuck in the past. Hanna because of the horrors that she faced as an aid worker. As well as Sultan, who as we said before is an archaeologist whose job is to live in the past. We dive deep into both characters and also take some time to talk about what it was like to film in such historically rich areas. Check it out below!
