Nostalgia is a dangerously powerful commodity in entertainment. Things that were probably mediocre by most could be revered by those who grow up with it. As a result, decades later, a studio can very well still milk that product, banking on a now-grown audience eating it up for the sake of said nostalgia. We’ve seen this happen with shows like Fuller House and Girl Meets World.
Now you can add another thing to the list of nostalgia grabs…sort of. As we already know, Double Dare is coming back to Nickelodeon — another piece of nostalgia that ’90s kids will appreciate — and you can bet your ass that the network will be taking advantage in more than one way. As revealed by Kel Mitchell on Instagram, he will be reuniting with Kenan Thompson for the first time in God knows how long.
Here’s what Mitchell posted on Twitter:
“Uh oh! The boys are in the building! Fun time shooting Double Dare today with the bro! make sure you watch the premiere tonight on Nickelodeon and check out the hour special with me and Kenan later this summer!”

Those who grew up on the ’90s will know that Thompson and Mitchell worked together on the sketch show All That, the spin-off film Good Burger, and, of course, the kid-friendly sitcom Kenan and Kel.
Will you be checking out their Double Dare episode later this summer? Sound off down below if you are!
