After Spider-Man: Homecoming heavily featured Robert Downey Jr’s Iron Man/Tony Stark, we have been wondering which Avenger may show up in Spider-Man: Far From Home.

There may not be an appearance by an Avenger this time, but it’s been expected given Sony’s desire to make sure they are utilizing the MCU as much as possible to maximize profits for the Spider-Man films. After all, remember it’s Sony and not Disney that takes home the box office dollars from the Spider-Man solo movies.
However, it is also possible that both Sony and Marvel feel the character has established himself enough into the MCU to carry the movie on his own this time. We just don’t know for sure, is the honest answer, though fans are already predicting that Doctor Strange could be a great cameo appearance for the Spider-Man sequel. Well, you can definitely rule out a Doctor Strange appearance this time folks.
Speaking with Slashfilm, Marvel head Kevin Feige confirms that we will not be seeing Doctor Strange in Spider-Man: Far From Home and hints that another cameo may still happen.
When asked by the outlet if he plans to have another character cameo in each Spider-Man movie he said,
“It’s in the MCU so yeah.”
And when asked if this appearance could be Doctor Strange he said,
“No! I could be coy about it but no. I don’t wanna get people excited. But Benedict and Holland have liked the idea of working together.”
So there you have it folks, no Doctor Strange appearance in Spider-Man: Far From Home, but I wouldn’t bet against the Sorcerer Supreme appearing with Spidey again further down the road.
We’d love to hear your predictions for which Marvel character could show up in Far From Home, so sound off in the usual place below.
