Kevin Feige Confirms That What If..? Will Be 10 Episodes Long And Season 2 Already A Go

Marvel animation branch more to come after What If...?

When Marvel first announced that they would be making MCU Disney+ shows, the one that stood about a bit was What If…? Not only is it animated but will bring back the voice talents of the original cast, some of which are already dead in canon.

Now we hear that What If…? unlike the other MCU shows, will be a ten-episode Season whilst the rest are going to be six long. Feige spoke with Buzz Feed Brazil and said not only this, but that Season 2 was definitely a go, check it out.

“I’m very happy that we’re doing the What If…? series for Disney+ right now, and I’ve seen most of them. We have ten for Season 1, we’re already working on the next ten for Season 2. We’ve revealed one that is very exciting, we’ve talked about it for years, which is the one where Peggy Carter gets the Super Soldier serum and becomes Captain Carter. That’s the very first episode, and I’m excited for people to see that. I’m excited to see the finished version of that, and I’m excited for the world to see it.”

I’m interested to see what other stories they have planned and because the possibilities are endless, I think this could be a real fun show when it hits the streaming service. With a second season happening, they really can explore a variety of crazy plotlines on this, and its one story, one episode structure allows for less story planning than a show that covers one story across six hours.
