*The following article contains MAJOR SPOILERS for Spider-Man: Far From Home, you have been warned!*

.
I’ve already given a warning above, but considering the nature of this article I really must say again, that this article SPOILS the hell out of Spider-Man: Far From Home. The movie is promoted as having Mysterio come from another version of Earth, specifically Earth 838 and he declares to Spider-Man that this version of Earth is Earth 616, which of course matches the comic book multiverse mythology.
However, if you have seen the movie, (if not why are you reading this?) then you will know that Mysterio is making all this up in a convoluted plan to take control of Tony Stark’s defence technology, which he leaves to Peter after his death. So does that mean there is no Multiverse in the MCU and it was all just a big con? Marvel Studios Head Kevin Feige recently spoke about this with Fandango and here is what he had to say.
“No, it just means he was full of s**t. I mean, in Doctor Strange, we hear the Ancient One talk about the multiverse, so we’ve already established it as a thing.”
So it seems like although Mysterio was talking utter nonsense, the Multiverse is a real thing in the MCU and may be brought up again in the future. I personally loved the fact that Quentin Beck was completely full of it and it was all made up through holograms and other technology, because it totally fits with that character in the comic books. Not to mention that it was the perfect setting to have Peter develop his Spider-Sense (Peter-Tingle) a little more as he could not trust what he could see or hear with Mysterio.

What do you think of the Multiverse, were you disappointed it was all made up, or are you happy enough with Feige’s comments that it is a real thing? Spread your illusions in the usual spot below.
