Kevin Feige Teases What If? Characters In Other Mediums

What If? was for me a fun, but flawed show to me with cool characters. Now Marvel Boss Kevin Feige teases What If? characters in other mediums. In the latest episode of Marvel Studios: Assembled, the focus was on What If? Here is what Kevin Feige had to say in a brief clip in the episode now streaming on Disney+.

“I really believe the deepening fictional mythologies is a way to appreciate them more, is a way to understand them more, look at them in a different way. They’ve got now two seasons of What If…? ideas underway that’s some of the best storytelling we’ve ever had that you may see spin into other mediums. It’s really the most uniquely beautiful animated series I’ve seen in a long time.”

To highlight the important part in my opinion. “you may see spin into other mediums.”

Of course that would mean not animation, but that leaves us with several possibilities. Comics, video games, and of course the one everyone is probably thinking, the live-action content. However given that these are alt-versions of characters already in our MCU, there needs to be good reasons to bring them in. I don’t know, like in a movie about, let’s say, the Madness of the Multiverse? I’ve heard and covered rumors before about Hayley Atwell’s Captain Carter showing up in the Doctor Strange sequel. I’m not saying for definite that’s where we will next see Atwell’s character, but that is the rumor.

It is possible in a movie like Multiverse of Madness to really dig into some of the content of What If? However, that’s from an outsider looking in. We really don’t know what the true plans are for the second Doctor Strange movie. Though recent leaked pre-vis images have shown one interesting character returning to screens.

What do you think of his comments as Kevin Feige teases What If? characters in other mediums? Do you think any of those characters will make their way too live-action? Thoughts below as always.
