Marvel actor Kit Harington claims there are no plans for any more Black Knight in the MCU, plus we have a rumor that Jeremey Renner will return for Secret Wars. A bit of news and a bit of rumor, let’s start with the news. Harington, made famous by Game of Thrones appeared in Eternals in a role (Dane Whitman) that would clearly become Black Knight.
Yet since the Eternals movie flopped, none of the cast or characters have returned including Harington’s Black Knight. It’s been years now, but there were rumors that Black Knight could show up in the in-development film Midnight Sons. However, is that even still happening? We have a Ghost Rider now in Ryan Gosling, but Mahershala Ali sounds like he’s done waiting to be Blade.
Now we have Harington himself saying there are no plans to bring back the character as far as he knows. Harington spoke to MovieWeb recently, watch the video below or skip for the relevant quote.
Asked if Harington would still like to explore Black Knight?
“I would love to … I don’t think there isn’t any plan to … I would hate to break it to you, but I think he is a wicked character. There’s a part of him that that whole Ebony Blade stuff, where the more he kills, the worse he gets, more addicted. I think its such a great parable of addiction and I think he’s someone who starts good, goes bad. I think he’s great. But we’ll see…”
It really is a failing of the MCU that so many films end with stingers that will now go absolutley nowhere. But I guess they have to make movies that sell tickets. Then again, things could change in the future, so who knows?

We also have a rumor from Daniel RPK that Jeremy Renner will be back as Hawkeye in Avengers: Secret Wars. Renner himself recently posted an image of his Hawkeye costume on social media, which of course led to speculation.

It looks like Renner will continue the trend of missing movies where the Avengers lose and coming back for them winning.
