Talk about the four horsemen of the apocalypse in M. Night Shyamalan’s Knock at the Cabin.

This new home invasion trailer pits four strangers bearing a world-ending prophecy against a loving family of two men and their adopted daughter. To save civilization, the four home invaders must force a choice to sacrifice one of them and whether the family believes their prediction.

The cast includes Dave Bautista, Jonathan Groff, Ben Aldridge, Nikki Amuka-Bird, Kristen Cui, Abby Quinn, and Rupert Grint. M. Night Shyamalan directed the film based on the screenplay adaptation by Shyamalan, Steve Desmond, and Michael Sherman. The story is based on the book “The Cabin at the End of the World” by Paul Tremblay.

Here is the official synopsis:

While vacationing at a remote cabin, a young girl and her parents are taken hostage by four armed strangers who demand that the family make an unthinkable choice to avert the apocalypse. With limited access to the outside world, the family must decide what they believe before all is lost.

Although this is not an original story by M. Night Shyamalan, the well-known director can direct a film full of twist-and-turns towards a compelling ending. Seeing how this plays out in this twisted home invasion story meets the apocalypse will be interesting.

Knock at the Cabin is in theaters on February 3.
