LAIKA Studios Releases First Trailer For Missing Link

Back at this year’s San Diego Comic-Con we got our first peek at what will be LAIKA’s fifth major theatrical release since their inception in 2005, Missing Link. Their list of films includes Coraline, ParaNorman, The Boxtrolls and their latest Kubo and the Two Strings. Each of these films has received a nod in the Academy’s Best Animated Feature category, which speaks to their quality.

Today they have released the first trailer to Missing Link, you can check it out above! The animated comedy stars Zach Galifianakis as the 8 foot 650 pound, oh excuse me, 630-pound creature Mr. Link. It seems like he is tired of being alone and is looking to find his family. So he will make his way from his home in the Pacific Northwest all the way to the valley of Shangri-La.

Joining him on this adventure will be a fearless explorer voiced by Hugh Jackman along with adventurer Adelina Fortnight voiced by Zoe Saldana. The film is directed by Chris Butler, who also directed ParaNorman, and it also will feature the voices of Timothy Olyphant, David Williams as well as Emma Thompson.

Let us know what you think of the trailer in the comment section below!

LAIKA Studio’s Missing Link hits theaters April 12th, 2019 via Annapurna Pictures.
