For nearly 25 years, Love of Lesbian has been a fixture in the Spanish indie pop scene.
With already eleven albums in their discography, Love of Lesbian released its twelfth album with V.E.H.N. (Viage epico hacia la nada) and newly announced tour dates for the band.
The band is known internationally with already the first three singles already released including “Cosmos (Antisistema Solar),” “El Sur” featuring Bunbury, and “Irrompibles.”
Love of Lesbian began in Catalonia, Spain, in 1997 with Santi Balmes (vocals, guitar, and keyboards), Jordi Roig (guitar), Joan Ramon Planell (bass and synthesizer), and Oriol Bonet (drums and programming). Julian Saldarriaga (guitar, sequencers, and backup vocals) and Dani Ferrer (keyboards) joined later.

LRM Online’s Gig Patta talked with lead singer Santi Balmes on their current album V.E.H.N. (Viage epico hacia la nada) and their tour plans. We talked about some of the singles featured on the single and the return to normalcy during the period of the pandemic. Also, he teased about possible coming to the Americas for another tour.
Santi Balmes is the lead vocalist for Love of Lesbian since its inception in 1997. In 2011, he started his career as a novelist with his first book titled, “I Will Kill Monsters For You.” To date, he has published five books. At the 2012 MTV Europe Music Awards, Love of Lesbian was nominted for the MTV Europe Music Award for Best Spanish Act. Their album La noche eternal. Los dias no vividos reached number one in 2012.
