In its fourth year, Lead with Love raised a total of $823,735 for Project Angel Food in its telethon broadcast on KTLA 5.

The amount surpassed $800,000 in the fourth year in a row that the organization met its goal.

Chicago Med star Steven Weber debuted as the host of Lead with Love 4 along with KTLA Morning News anchor Jessica Holmes. They are also joined by co-hosts Loni Love and Alec Mapa in their duties.

The phone bank, emceed by Mapa, included many stars with Mindy Cohn, Kim Coles, Lacretta, Jai Rodriguez, Jonathan Del Arco, Rachel Lindsay, Lawrence Zarian, and Gregory Zarian.

American Idol alumni David Archuleta, Grace Kinstler, and singer Rachel Platten provided live performances, along with more musical highlights from Pentatonix with “Sound of Silence,” and Chrissy Metz with “Better Than I Found It.”

Other celebrity recorded messages included from many supporters with Carol Burnett, Cindy Crawfod, Chelsea Handler, Kris Jenner, Earvin “Magic” Johnson, Lori Loughlin, Eric McCormack, Chrissy Metz, Niecy Nash-Betts, Marie Osmond, Sarah Paulson, Pentatonix, Pauley Perrette, Melissa Peterman, Sheryl Lee Ralph, Martin Sheen, Sherri Shepherd, Jodie Sweetin, and Tiffani Thieseen.

“It is truly heartening to witness the proactive response of the city as it rallies to support us in tackling this pressing issue of providing medically tailored meals to thousands of people who need us most,” said CEO Richard Ayoub in a statement.

Ayoub reminded viewers that more donors could contribute after the telethon at www.angelfood.org/love.

Project Angel Food feeds critically ill men, women, and children in Los Angeles County. The organization delivers medically tailored meals directly to the clients’ homes, with more than 2,500 Angelenos fed daily and more than 1.5 million meals provided yearly.
