LEGO showed up at San Diego Comic-Con this year with all the nostalgia! In fact their whole booth was themed after the now beloved movie rental store, Blockbuster. But with LEGO, you know there was a twist, they called their booth, “Brickbuster”.
At Brickbuster LEGO showcased everything that is great about them and wrapped it up in the rental store theme. Their walls of “New Releases” were made up of LEGO creations made by people stopping by the booth, showcasing so much creativity.
Their aisles were decorated with classic movie boxes featuring the exciting properties being showcased. Some of those included three new Star Wars sets that included a set from the upcoming Disney+ series “Ahsoka” as well as a model of everyone’s favorite Wookie, Chewbacca. Also on display were the New Republic E-Wing and Shin Hati’s Starfighter. All these will be available on September 1st.
Throughout the Brickbuster, there were also lots of characters that people could take photos with and earn the right to claim the pin of the day! Also with the announcement of the new Sonic the Hedgehog Brickheadz sets, attendees could enjoy the Sonic video game stations.
