Yesterday at E3 we were given the first news I was aware of for a new Lego Star Wars game. Previously there have been Lego Star Wars games released for all main saga movies other than The Last Jedi and of course the as yet unreleased The Rise of Skywalker.
However, Travellers’ Tales who make all the Lego games yesterday announced that Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga would be hitting consoles and PC in 2020. We don’t yet have a specific release date window for when in the year this game will release, but here is the official synopsis for the game.
The galaxy is yours with LEGO® Star Wars™: The Skywalker Saga! Play through all nine Star Wars™ saga films in a brand-new LEGO video game unlike any other. Experience fun-filled adventures, whimsical humour, and the freedom to fully immerse yourself in the LEGO Star Wars universe like never before.
You can see from the trailer above that this seems to be a brand new game encompassing all none Star Wars movies from The Skywalker Saga as opposed to a collection of previously released games. As always with Lego games, you have that signature off the wall humor. My personal favourite of the Lego games was the first game set in the Marvel universe, as it felt really open world compared to the older games in the Star Wars brand. However, I am interested in a more modern retelling of these stories though the Lego experience for sure.
What do you think of the trailer above, are you excited to see what silly things they feature in Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga when it is unleashed next year? Share your thoughts if you have them in the usual cantina of chat below.
