LEGO and Transformers have come together to bring us a LEGO Optimus Prime. IGN has shared a reveal trailer for the build and the set looks really cool!

I bought a transforming Optimus Prime figure years back and that thing is hard to transform, we haven’t touched it in years. The LEGO Optimus Prime looks so easy (of course since it’s LEGO), it’s tempting to buy. Although, my husband’s office is running out of space.
What The Model Comes With
Just like the beloved original, this Optimus Prime model converts from a robot to a truck and back again. Admire the 19 points of articulation in robot mode and open the chest chamber to store the Autobot Matrix of Leadership. Attach the jetpack in robot mode and place the ion blaster and Energon axe in the Autobot’s hands. Other authentic accessories include an Energon cube and optional waist panel. Add the plaque to display your passion for Transformers with pride.
The set is part of the LEGO creator expert line and costs $169.99. It’ll be released on June 1 on LEGO.com. I hope that we’ll get another LEGO Transformer set. Optimus needs to fight Megatron!
