Superfly: Lex Scott Davis On Remake, Costumes and Big Boi [Exclusive Interview]

This is not your father’s Superfly movie.

The Superfly remake is vastly different from the 1972 version that Stars Ron O’Neal. In the 2018 version, it keeps the same story elements with more modern action, styles and fashion.

The cast included Trevor Jackson (Grown-ish), Jason Mitchell (Straight Outta Compton), Lex Scott Davis (First Purge) and Jennifer Morrison (Once Upon A Time). The film is helmed by Director X.

LRM had a sit-down interview with actress Lex Scott Davis on her experiences with Superfly. We talked about her character named Georgia, costumes and most importantly, working with Big Boi on the set.

Lex Scott Davis will be starring in the upcoming prequel The First Purge, which will be in theaters next month. She was best known for her role as Alyse Craig in Training Day, the television series.

Superfly is playing in theaters this Wednesday, June 13.
