Lightyear Teaser Trailer Creates “Buzz” For Toy Story Spin-off

“To infinity and …” Back in 1995, the movie, Toy Story, was released. A movie where toys come alive and the humans don’t know and a little boy, Andy, is having a birthday party before he moves. A new toy, Buzz Lightyear, believes he’s real and not a toy. Andy’s favorite toy, a cowboy named Woody, is jealous and his actions lead to trouble for him and Buzz. This Disney movie was amazing and lead to three sequels. Disney Pixar is bringing fans an origin story of Buzz Lightyear next year called Lightyear and Pixar has released a teaser trailer. Watch this Space Ranger in action on June 17.

Disney Magic

Toy Story is very much a kids movie and I still love it. But if I were to watch it for the first time today, I don’t think I would feel that same level of magic it offers. Buzz Lightyear was played by Tim Allen. In another Allen movie, The Santa Clause, the elf, Judy, says something to Allen’s character that is so true. “Most grown-ups can’t believe in magic. It just… sort of grows out of them.” The truth can hurt. There are some adults that can still hold on to some of that Disney magic, but it’s not what it was when little. Lightyear looks like a movie that kids and adults can both enjoy a great deal.

I wish that Allen was playing Buzz in this movie, but I believe Chris Evans will do a great job. Lightyear is produced by Galyn Susman and directed by Angus MacLane.
