Earlier this week, the last episode of the series, Loki, was released on Disney+. The first season was fun and exciting and I can’t wait for the return of the series. Although, director and executive producer, Kate Herron, will not be returning for season 2.
Herron shared the news in an interview with Deadline on Friday:
I’m not returning. I always planned to be just on for this, and to be honest, Season 2 wasn’t in the — that’s something that just came out, and I’m so excited. I’m really happy to watch it as a fan next season, but I just think I’m proud of what we did here and I’ve given it my all. I’m working on some other stuff yet to be announced.
Deadline also asked if she will be involved with Marvel again:
No, I’m just focused on my own stuff at the moment. I love Marvel and I’d love to work with them again, but my outing with Loki is what I’ve done with them.

I loved the Loki series. When I watched the first episode, I wished there were more than six episodes. Kate Herron did a fantastic job. Although, I’m sad she won’t be returning, I wish her the best for her next projects. Also, I want to thank her for her amazing work on Loki.
What did you think of season 1 of Loki? Are you sad to see Kate Herron go as well? Let me know in the comments.
