Loki Writer Says Show Will Hopefully Have “Wide-Reaching Ramifications Across The MCU”

Loki draws ever closer, dear reader.

The plot involves Loki helping the TVA fix the broken timeline he caused in Avengers: Endgame. Not wanting to speculate as crazily as we did for WandaVision, these may be the events that feed into Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness? Possibly?

One link between the two projects is writer Michael Waldron. He wrote Loki, and was brought back by Kevin Feige to work on the Doctor Strange 2 script.

Total Film Magazine interviewed Waldron, asking about any connections between the show and the upcoming Doctor Strange sequel:

That would just be crazy conjecture. All of these stories, in their own way, are interconnected, and have ramifications. I think that certainly our aim with the Loki series was for it to have wide-reaching ramifications across the MCU moving forward. So, you know, was I having to clean up some of the messes that I made [with Loki]? Maybe so.

A “maybe so” is more than most writers/directors/actors from Marvel give us. In fact, that’s a certified, “Yes.”

All kidding aside, like with WandaVision, this could go any direction. This broken timeline in Loki may have nothing to do with the “Multiverse of Madness” Doctor Strange will face. Or, it could be the key to everything reaching as far as Kang the Conqueror appearing in Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania.

Maybe Loki will share his secrets on June 9th when the series starts on Disney+.
