The only real LOTR show leaker is at it again with some Barside Buzz. Fellowship of Fans has posted some Lord of the Rings show Celebrimbor rumors. As always, some of this content could be considered spoilers but there’s nothing too much here to get in a twist about.

For those that don’t know, Celebrimbor is the Elf who learned to forge Rings of Power from Sauron. Celebrimbor then made the Three Great Rings without Sauron’s aid. From previous rumors we have shared it seems the show will ultimately be set well outside of the timeline of Celebrimbor. However rumors also say that the first two episodes may be large prologues of what came before? I’m thinking one covering the events of the First Age and then another covering the history to that point of the Second Age. However it’s also possible that Amazon will try and condense the timeline. This though, I think is most Tolkien fans worst fear.

Let’s take a look at what FoF posted.

Celebrimbor is definitely involved in S1 of #LOTRonPrime at some point and interestingly a lot of props have been made for the character.

If there is a prologue, then it would be crazy to not show the forging of the Rings and Celebrimbor. However if Amazon stays true to the Tolkien canon, which we are told they have to, then Celebrimbor died in 1697. Isildur, who is said to be the lead of the show, wasn’t born until 3209. Isildur had along life, he didn’t die until the Third Age which we saw in the prologue to The Fellowship of the Ring. However he was a mortal and therefore should not be alive anytime close to the death of Celebrimbor.

The prologue idea therefore makes most sense and that’s what most insiders feel will be the case. FoF‘s previous report on Isildur was that he does not make an appearance until episode 3.

I guess we will just have to wait and see for now? What do you think of these Lord of the Rings show Celebrimbor rumors? Will they have a large prologue to the show like many think?
