The latest Barside Buzz around Marvel this weekend is that both Jeff Loveness and Michael Waldron are out of The Kang Dynasty and Secret Wars. Loveness was writing Avengers: The Kang Dynasty and Waldron was writing Avengers: Secret Wars. However the latest rumor is that both are now out of their respective projects.
Given that there is a writers strike on right now, don’t expect any confirmation of this story soon. Nor would I expect any announcement on who has taken over scripting duties. That of course is if this rumor pans out. The initial information comes from MTTSH and was then backed up by KC Walsh.

This is an interesting development if it pans out. Was this in relation to Marvel being unhappy with the stories both were writing? Or, was this a reaction to the negativity surrounded the pairs last projects for Marvel. Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania was written by Loveness and Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness was written by Waldron. Neither were well recieved at the box office and both faced criticisms of fans.

The weird thing is, we’eve also heard about a lot of studio intervention on both these movies. Remember we have solid rumors that Kang beat Scott and trapped him in the Quantum Realm in Loveness original version. Plus many of the actors in Multiverse of Madness have spoken about how the movies was changed a lot from where it began. So was it the scripts that were to blame, or the interfering by Marvel?
We may never know the true story, that’s Hollywood. However, please remember this is not fact until it is confirmed by an official source. I’d also accept a trade running the story as almost confirmation. Until then, this is a rumor which may or may not pan out. MTTSH has a good hit rate. Okay, KC Walsh’s isn’t as impressive, but back up is back up.
