Luana Vecchio’s Doll Parts: A Lovesick Tale Sells Out, Second Printing on the Way

Image Comics announces reprint following overwhelming demand for the coming-of-age horror debut.

The much-anticipated launch of Doll Parts: A Lovesick Tale, the latest creation by Russ Manning Award-winning artist and writer Luana Vecchio, has taken the comic world by storm, selling out completely at the distributor level. In response to the runaway success, Image Comics has fast-tracked a second printing of the debut issue, set to hit shelves on Wednesday, February 5.

A prequel to Vecchio’s acclaimed twisted erotic series Lovesick, Doll Parts delves into the harrowing origins of Domino, the infamous dominatrix whose dark allure has captivated fans.

“I am deeply grateful for the incredible response to Doll Parts: A Lovesick Tale,” said Vecchio. “I wonder how such a painful story has resonated so deeply with people. Perhaps it’s because, in some way, we’ve all been Mad—or still are. It’s painful, but also incredibly beautiful. And yet, this is just the beginning: our heroine has many challenges ahead before becoming the ruthless dominatrix we know as Domino.”

The debut issue introduces readers to Madeleine, a twelve-year-old grappling with the terrifying prospect of growing up in a cruel and perilous world. As she faces the pressures of adolescence, a devoutly religious mother, and the lurking dangers of predatory adults, Madeleine’s descent into the darkness becomes a tale of survival and transformation. Her journey to becoming Domino, the Mother Demon, is as haunting as it is compelling.

With Doll Parts: A Lovesick Tale #2 scheduled for release on Wednesday, January 15, fans won’t have to wait long for the next chapter in Madeleine’s chilling evolution. The second issue will be available with five cover options.
