Lucy Hale stars in the new action thriller Borrego. A project she felt passionate about to jump on for the first time as an executive producer. 

The Synopsis 

Lucy Hale (Truth or Dare) stars as Elly, a young botanist on a research mission gone awry. After witnessing a drug mule’s plane crash in the Borrego desert, she is kidnapped and forced on a dangerous journey to a remote drop off point. With limited essentials and alone in the desert with her captor, desperation for survival takes hold as Elly risks her life to escape from his clutches before the trip turns deadly.

Before acting came to place for Lucy Hale she seeked a singing career while participating in Fox reality show American Junior. In hope of landing a recording deal in LA instead she began to audition and made several television appearances in television series like The O.C., and How I Met Your Mother. Her first full length series was for NBC’s Bionic Woman followed by others like, Privileged, Pretty Little Liars. Hale’s debut in film was with The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants 2 and came the big franchises Scream 4 and Fantasy Island. Last year she was seen in CW’s Riverdale and romance comedy, The Hating Game.

I was connected with the talented Lucy Hale via Zoom to talk about Borrego. She expressed her passion for this project to also want to be an executive producer for the first time in her career.
