M. Night Shyamalan may have tried to branch out into non-horror filmmaking territory for a while, but he’s always been at his best when he’s trying to unsettle us. We’ve seen it in films like The Sixth Sense and The Visit, and now he’s bringing his trademark off-kilter storytelling sensibilities to Apple TV+ — a service in dire need of originals.
The series in question is called Servant, and holy hell, does this thing look creepy. Featuring a doll of a baby that has set up camp deep within the confines of the uncanny valley, the trailer goes out of our way to put us off and bring into question the reliability of anything we see.

Below is the official synopsis for Servant:
“Doubt what you believe. From M. Night Shyamalan, Servant follows a Philadelphia couple in mourning after an unspeakable tragedy creates a rift in their marriage and opens the door for a mysterious force to enter their home.”
