Mad Max: Fury Road is one of those films that has created that perfect cross section between casual movie fans and hardcore film junkies. Mainstream moviegoers enjoy the film as a blistering, balls to the wall blockbuster, while buffs marvel at the techniqueand artistry that went into making it. The junkies are about to get a major treat, and an all new way to experience George Miller’s 2015 opus, in the form of a “Black and Chrome” edition of Mad Max: Fury Road.

What does that mean, exactly? Well, truth be told, “Black and Chrome” is just a fancy way of saying that they’ll be releasing a black and white version of Mad Max: Fury Road.

George Miller himself has endorsed the experience of seeing the film in black and white, and the idea of it does have a certain kind of appeal when you think of the bleak and morally gray landscape of the Mad Max films.

You’ll have two ways to enjoy the “Black and Chrome” edition of Mad Max: Fury Road. On December 6th, two different special sets will be released. One is the Mad Max High Octane Collection box set of all of Miller’s Road Warrior films, and the other is a special “Two Film Collection” blu-ray that contains both the theatrical and “Black and Chrome” cut of Mad Max: Fury Road
