Much of the current discussion around Disney is focused the live-action remakes of their animated classics. Along with recent The Little Mermaid casting news, we’re on the heels of the release of the live-action version of one of Disney’s most beloved films, The Lion King.
While it’s a spin-off and not a remake, today comes the trailer for the sequel to a film centered around a character that perhaps gained much of her modern day fame from appearing as the villain Maleficent in the animated Sleeping Beauty. “The years have been kind to Maleficent and Aurora. Their relationship, born of heartbreak, revenge and ultimately love, has flourished. Yet the hatred between man and the fairies still exists.
