Man of Tomorrow news as director James Gunn shares an image of his storyboards, plus Nicholas Hoult says filming begins in April. Gunn posted an image on various social media channels, you can check his Threads post in the link. But to be honest there’s nothing to see but a stack of papers in side view. Obviously Gunn was never going to reveal any information from these storyboards. However, it does give us an idea where the film is in terms of process right now.
We did get a little more though, from star Nicholas Hoult who will reprise his role as Lex Luthor. Hoult, as you can see below tried to avoid saying anything at a recent convention appearance. However, we ends up giving away when filming is currently planned to begin on the sequel. April, by the way.

Man of Tomorrow is scheduled for release on July 9, 2027. Giving Gunn just over a year from the beginning of principal until release. Before that movie arrives there are two more DCU films coming. Supergirl on June 26, 2026 and Clayface on Sept 11, 2026. We will also have Lanterns coming to TV in 2026, though it seems perhaps not till later in the years as per HBO recent previews.
So Man of Tomorrow‘s storyboards are done and filming should begin in April as per James Gunn and Nicholas Hoult.
