The series is in its seventh season, airing since September of 2014. The series follows an uppper-middle class African-American family led by Andre Johnson, played by Anthony Anderson and Rainbow Johnson, played by Tracee Ellis Ross. Its a great show that shows the family go through so many commom probloms we all go through. As well as some ethnic speicifc topics. This seventh season of black-ish has been so conforting. As we got to see their famliy go through the struggles of 2020. Including the pandemic, the black lives matter movement, and the election. It fits the Johnson family so well as Rainbow is a doctor and Dre works in advertising. On sepereate ends of the spectrum are Dre’s parents and his kids. From them we get all sorts of points of views that we can relate to.

Below is the synopsis for episode 709, black-out.
When the power goes out in the neighborhood, Dre’s instinct is to go into survival mode and stockpile on essentials, while Bow focuses on helping out their neighbors.
