The DC Universe of films is a confusing beast. Leadership seems to really be floundering and reaching around for whatever potential idea they can bank on. This may explain the fact that we have three movies potentially revolving around the likes of Harley Quinn.

We have the Joker and Harley Quinn movie, Suicide Squad 2, and Gotham City Sirens. But it turns out that that’s not the only Harley Quinn movie in the works from Robbie. Speaking with MTV, she revealed that the one she’s working on is none of the above.

“It’s a totally separate [project from Gotham City Sirens]. There’s a lot going on right now and I’m not sure. I, honestly, I don’t think anyone knows what’s going to be the next thing to happen. But I think everyone’s keen to get Harley back on screen, so everyone is working on lots of different versions of what that could be.”

So what does this mean? Well, maybe for reference, we can look at something like Game of Thrones and their spinoffs. They’re working on a handful of different ideas in hopes that the better ones will rise to the top. While Suicide Squad 2 is a film that will likely happen eventually, the idea of a Joker and Harley Quinn/Gotham City Sirens film may just be two ideas that are fighting for Warner Bros.’ attention. Perhaps, when all said and done, we’ll only get one of them, and it’ll be the best one.

As far as what Robbie wants to see from the character, she said:

“I wanna see her with other women. I was like, I kept saying it we were shooting Suicide Squad. I was like, ‘She needs her girlfriends. She needs other girls around her because she loves that.’ You’ve seen it in the comics. You’ve seen that she loves meeting people, any people, but she needs a little girl gang.”

Which of these ideas do you want to see come to fruition? Let us know your thoughts down below!
