Warner Bros. Pictures’ “Barbie” just continues to rack up wins. As it continues to reach different milestones, one of the key players in the film is getting some big bonuses.

Variety is reporting that Margot Robbie, the star and producer of “Barbie” is being rewarded for the success of the film. She stands to make about $50 million in salary and box office bonuses, according to three people with knowledge about her deal.

The report also says that director and co-writer Greta Gerwig is also likely to receive a bonus due to the success of the film. Warner Bros. declined to comment and a representative for Robbie had no comment about the presumed bonuses.

The film featuring a classic Mattel doll has earned over $526 million at the domestic box office since it opened on July 21. Internationally it also did very well making over $657 million. That brings its box office total to almost $1.2 billion. More impressively, it’s been four weeks since the release of “Barbie” and it’s still holding the top spot.

This is a huge win for Warner Bros. Pictures as the film is now the second highest-growing release in the history of the studio. Only behind the highly anticipated final film of the Harry Potter franchise, “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 2”. Barbie is also the highest-grossing film ever made by a female director, passing Jennifer Lee, who co-directed Disney Animation’s “Frozen II”.
