Marrowbone Trailer: Something Sinister Lurks

Looks like Anya Taylor-Joy is turning into a modern scream queen. Hitting it big with the horror film, The Witch, she then jumped into M. Night Shyamalan’s Split. Next year, she’ll be acting alongside Maisie Williams in the Marvel film The New Mutants, which is getting made with a horror slant, and she is also starring in the upcoming horror film Marrowbone.

Magnolia Pictures has just released the full trailer for the film, and while it doesn’t seem to feature any sort of jump scares, it does seem like one of those movies with more of an underlying tension throughout (not unlike The Witch). Also starring alongside Taylor-Joy is Charlie Heaton, who you probably best know from Stranger Things. However, it’s interesting that the pair will also be acting together in The New Mutants.

The official synopsis for Marrowbone is below:

“Four siblings seek refuge in an old home after the death of their mother, only to discover that the house has another, more sinister, inhabitant, in this haunting directorial debut from Sergio G. Sánchez, screenwriter of The Orphanage and The Impossible.”
