In a recent interview one of Daredevil: Born Again Season 2 producers says they now have the freedom to do anything with the series.

Some Marvel TV news including, robot Ultron is in Vision Quest, Jessica Jones series in development, plus some Punisher Special details. All information here comes from the latest Phase Zero podcast, video below. Featuring a series of interviews with the likes of Marvel TV boss Brad Winderbaum, Vision Quest showrunner Terry Matalas and Krysten Ritter.

There’s a lot I don’t cover in this article, so take the time to watch the full video if you can. For those just looking for the TLDW, I gotcha.

Let’s start with Vision Quest and showrunner Terry Matalas teased the series is essentially a Vision identity crisis. Matalas also confirmed we will see a lot of James Spader and Paul Bettany in the show. Essentially, he said if you like the idea of those two playing off one another, you’ll like Vision Quest. However, Matalas also confirmed it won’t just be a human version of Ultron we will see, the robot version does show up also.

Matalas also confirmed once again that Vision Quest is the third in a trilogy of sorts that began with WandaVision. With Vision Quest like a direct sequel to that first part of the trilogy.

The Punisher Special And Jessica Jones Season 4

Winderbaum confirmed that this project has finished filming and is currently in editing. It was written by both star Jon Bernthal and director Ray Green. Winderbaum praised the piece and actor Bernthal’s performance. The Marvel TV boss also talked about trying to keep a consistent feel between NYC based projects with different tones. Of course both Daredevil and Punisher are rated for mature audiences, whilst upcoming Spider-Man: Brand New Day will be PG-13 most likely.

Meanwhile there was excitement for Krysten Ritter who is confirmed as returning to her role of Jessica Jones in Daredevil: Born Again Season 2. However, she and Winderbaum teased that a Jessica Jones revival, aka Season 4 could be out sooner than anyone expects.

Of that revival series, Ritter spoke about how she and Winderbaum have discussed unfulfilled comic book storylines she’d love to explore. However, she was keeping those ideas secret, because they are going to do just that.

So, it looks like we are definitely getting a Jessica Jones season 4. We are also getting some robot Ultron in Vision Quest. There’s more in the video, so take a look for yourself. What do you think of this news including the Punisher Special details? Thoughts below.
