Gwyneth Paltrow’s Pepper Potts and Owen Wilson’s Mobius in Doomsday, Eman Esfandi in Spider-Man: Brand New Day, plus a lot more. That’s what’s on the docket for today’s Barside Buzz/Marvel Rumor Roundup. Let’s start with the headline…

According to insider Daniel RPK on his Patreon, both Gwyneth Paltrow’s Pepper Potts and Owen Wilson’s Mobius will appear in Avengers: Doomsday. Daniel has also heard Paltrow will show up in Secret Wars, though no word on Wilson for that one.

Though, one other insider was less sure of Mobius being in Doomsday.

Daniel then replied to some folks asking if this was just art that had been seen before production and Daniel doubled down to say he’s heard he was on set and filmed scenes. Though, perhaps Apoc’s suggestion Mobius was cut could mean both insiders are right.

Daniel also claims that both Strange Academy and the Champions Disney+ series are set post-Secret Wars. Now, to be fair, I could claim that confidently and there’s a 95% chance I get it right. There’s no way anything is happening before Secret Wars that we don’t already know about. However, I guess there was always a chance that Champions could have taken place between Doomsday and Secret Wars, albeit unlikely.

Spider-Man: Brand New Day

First off, Daniel claims, as you’ll see below, that he’s heard Eman Esfandi (Ahsoka) has been cast as MJ’s new boyfriend for Brand New Day.

We also have another casting claim for Brand New Day.

Seems a bit weird if that is there case, surely someone else was also available? It wasn’t a big part, sure, but it was one of the most recent films.

We’ve got a couple other rumors as well, both from Daniel.

First off,

“I hear that Hayley Atwell will have the biggest role she’s ever had in an Avengers film in Doomsday. She’s not just a cameo and she actually has a role throughout the movie”

Lastly, he says a Jessica Jones revival series is in development, which to be fair is a rumor we’ve heard elsewhere this past late-2025.
