Tramell Tillman’s role in Spider-Man: Brand New Day revealed, plus a lot more possible rumors/spoilers for this Summer’s film. That’s the agenda for today’s weekend roundup of all the Marvel rumors (Part 1). There’s a lot to get through from a variety of sources, so let’s get started.
Spider-Man: Brand New Day
NPN claims they know the identity of the character played by Severance‘s Tramell Tillman in the film. So who is Tillman playing?
‘Tramell Tillman’s mystery character in Spider-Man: Brand New Day has finally been revealed. Nexus Point News has learned that Tramell Tillman is set to portray an obscure X-Men villain, William Metzger in Spider-Man: Brand New Day.’
‘Metzger will serve as the leader of Damage Control in the Marvel Cinematic Universe and will be an anti-mutant character. Sources tell Nexus Point News that Tillman signed a multi-picture deal which potentially includes Marvel Studios’ upcoming X-Men films. Metzger in the comics was created by Joe Casey and Steve Rude in 1999 and first appeared in X-Men: Children of the Atom 1. Metzger led the Anti-Mutant Militia in the X-Men: Children of the Atom miniseries. The character was later killed by Magneto.’
Given those rumors Sadie Sink is playing the young MCU version of Jean Grey, DODC getting real villainy, and possibly a famously anti-mutant comic character as one of it’s top people, you can kind of see where this might be going into the X-Men reboot. If Tillman has signed up for multiple movies could we perhaps expect to see him turn up in Jake Schreier’s X-Men like NPN is reporting?

We also have some more BND info courtesy of a recent Q&A by Cryptic HD, who I rate as one of the most consistently accurate leakers out there. There’s more Marvel news on this Q&A, but I’ll drop that in Part 2 of our Marvel Rumor Roundup.
“Since I don’t got BND trailer info, I’ll say this. There are a few scenes, more than 2 or 3, that look like they’re ripped straight from the comics, and there’s notable practicality in the villains’ suits (like Scorpion’s).”
“Also, here are some rumors I hope are true. Take this one especially with big grains of salt: I heard Sadie Sink’s sister, Jacey Sink, is in BND, as she was present for some of the scenes—will we be seeing a certain pair of sisters in action maybe.”
“Oh and there is an alternate version of the BND teaser. No clue when the release is expected.”
The insider also says he’s heard obscure villain Black Ball may appear in a villain montage in the film.
To add on to the multiple villians stuff which i can also confirm, I heard one of them will be🎱, likely for the montage. There are some others that I can't name for now.

We also have Cryptic responding to a claim by Alex P from TCC that Miles Warren is in the film, Cryptic confirms this name and alter ego Jackal is one he’s heard also.
I just realised Alex name dropped Miles Warren in his article. Jackal is one of the names i've heard as well.

There’s Even More
Next up we have Daniel RPK who claims that he’s seen concept art showing the Enforcers in Brand New Day. Does not guarantee they are in the film, but that’s the implication. This group tend to work for Big Man (rumored to be in BND) or Fisk (legally can’t be used in a movie yet), so I wonder if Big Man has been used to replace Fisk given the legal constraints? We shall see.
Finally for Brand New Day, that new trailer Cryptic spoke about has a rumored description already. 3C Films claims to have seen that trailer.
Long story short, it’s similar to the leaked trailer we saw. However, some additions are a look at Scorpion in his new suit, said to look like the one in the Insomniac games. Dialogue between Spider-Man and Punisher and some practical web shooting which the host wasn’t keen on at all. Feel free to check it out below.
That’s it for your Spider-Man flavoured Marvel Rumor Roundup, but there’s more to come about other films including the reported final battle of Avengers: Doomsday. Thoughts below as always.
