Marvel Rumors Korma Flavored – Spider-Man 4 Story Change And More

Some big news broke last night as Destin Daniel Cretton swings his way into the Spider-Man 4's director chair.

We got some Marvel rumors for you today, but if you like them spicy, this is the korma edition, sorry. Spider-Man 4 story changes, maybe, and a few other bits and bobs. All today’s Barside Buzz comes from Alex P of TCC who did another Q&A. Now, if you want to see the full question and answer session, the link is right there. However, much of it has answers like, I don’t know, or what is clearly guess work and opinion. No issues with that, but it’s not content I would share as rumors from someone who does have a very good hit rate.

So, what are the actual hints at knowledge and rumor we did get from this Q&A? Well the main headline you’ll see anywhere else is Spider-Man 4 story changes. Hold up, how do we know the story of a movie that isn’t even officially greenlit with a production date? Well, let’s instead say, that Alex is indicated the story has changed from the rumored story details we already got previously.

To cap those quickly: Fisk main overarching villain and Mayor of New York. Daredevil is in the film. Fisk goes after vigilantes legally, could lead to creation of some villains. To be a more grounded street level movie, not Multiversal.

Here’s what Alex said about that.

“I’m hearing the July 2026 date that Marvel removed from their spot is being given to Sony to release Spider-Man 4.”

Alex gave his opinion on a number of Spider-Man 4 questions, but the only other item he seemingly claimed knowledge of was this.

“There’s been a story shift for Spider-Man 4. It’s very likely that the storyline with Kingpin might be saved for post-Secret Wars. I’ll know more about that soon. As for MCU Norman or Otto, not yet. But soon.”

But, since he said he’ll find out soon, I guess we should perhaps wait and see? Never count on anything staying solid before cameras even start rolling.

Any Other Rumors?

He also said he doesn’t know if Kang will ever return. Loki he says will be in the Avengers movies and connected to the Multiverse Saga given the end of Loki S2. He also thinks Sylvie will be in the movies as well.

Also had this to say about what he’s heard re Doomsday.

“The Multiversal Masters of Evil was an idea from a comic storyline that I was told was being adapted for Doomsday & Secret Wars. It doesn’t necessarily mean it will be adapted.”

Alex also indicated any kind of Scarlet Witch resurrection/movie is currently an idea on a board only. No one is actively developing the idea further right now was what I took from his comments.

Alex also hinted that X-Men will launch a new saga, post-Secret Wars. This new saga he says will explore more of what is out there in space.

“I know that part of the next Saga in the MCU will continue to explore space even more. The Shi’ar Empire definitely falls under that category, but I’ve heard that they want to handle other villains as well, primarily ones we haven’t seen in live-action yet, like Mister Sinister and the Essex Corporation.”

Alex guesses X-Men will be the July 23rd, 2027. I won’t argue, as I agree it seems likely.

Anything else was rumors we already have heard, or opinions on what might happen. At least that’s my interpretation after reading the full thing. As said above, fell free to check out the source link above if you want to take a deep dive into this one.

So yeah, in the spicy scale, today was the korma version of Marvel rumors. What do you think of these potential Spider-Man 4 story changes and the other Marvel rumors? Let us know below.
