Marvel Studios is one hell of a busy studio. You only need to look at the Phase 4 slate of movies and shows to realize that. And yet, it looks like their ambitions lie beyond that of film and TV, and have now stretched to the realm of virtual reality. This became clear in a new trailer for Avengers: Damage Control.
No, unfortunately, this isn’t a Disney+ show that will give us the ins and outs of what happens after the Avengers leave a path of destruction, but will instead by a VR experience that puts us, the viewer, in the action. The experience comes courtesy of Marvel Studios and ILMxLAB. Check out the trailer below.
Below is the official description for Avengers: Damage Control:
“Assemble alongside Earth’s Mightiest Heroes in Avengers: Damage Control, an all-new virtual reality adventure from Marvel Studios and ILMxLAB.
“Shuri has recruited your team of four to test her latest prototype design, a powerful new suit that combines Wakandan and Stark Industries technologies. When a familiar enemy from the Avengers’ past seeks to steal the technology for themselves, your team must stop them before they unleash an oppressive new age upon the planet. Fight alongside some of your favorite Avengers like Doctor Strange, Wasp, Ant-Man, and more in a race to protect the world. Suit up, step in, and save the world in the ultimate Marvel Studios immersive experience.”
This thing launches exclusively at VOID locations on October 18 for a limited time.
