Marvel TV Boss Talks Vision Quest, Ironheart, Wonder Man and Says Daredevil: Born again To Go For Multiple Seasons

The original, but now fired, Daredevil: Born Again head writers are now only credited with one episode of Season 1 according to the WGA.

In a recent interview Marvel TV boss Brad Winderbaum talks Vision Quest, Ironheart, Wonder Man and says Daredevil: Born Again to go for multiple seasons, plus more. Winderbaum features on Phaze Zero, video embedded below. You can catch the full interview, or I detail the highlights in my own words after the jump.

Vison Quest:

Winderbaum says the show comes from that same stable (witchy stuff) like WandaVision and Agatha. However, it also……(makes sure he’s being careful) it’s got lots of Vision ideas they looked at in Phase 2. There’s gonna be lot there for earlier Marvel fans as well, he can’t say too much but he’s developing it now.

Winderbuam also talked a little about how popular Agatha All Along was and how it brought in a new audience in addition to the expected one.

Asked about Young Avengers, Brad would only tease a possible Young Avengers by saying that you can see certain things being set up. He left it at that for now.

Wonder Man And Ironheart

Winderbaum also confirms that Wonder Man is currently 8 episodes and not the previously reported 10 episodes. He also says Wonder Man feels like a love letter to Hollywood.

As for Ironheart, Brad described it as a crime story at heart. He teased Riri Williams has an ego and also explained that they actually built a practical suit. Building the suit practically, whilst it cannot do anything fancy, helps the CGI artists out big time due to things like lighting references.

As for those Mephisto rumors? Brad only says, “I wish I could tell you.”

 Daredevil: Born Again:

This show Winderbaum really hyped and says Marvel fans are not ready for how good this is. Also about how good the original Netflix cast was and how they had to come back.

He talked about Daredevil being designed as a longer format show. During the writers strike they were able to refine where Season 1 ends and where Season 2 needs to begin. He also confirmed he thinks its a series that can run for MULTIPLE seasons. Even comparing it to Game of Thrones in terms of interesting side characters. Winderbaum also confirms it is one of the most violent things they have put on screen to date in the MCU. Finally Brad also confirms Jon Bernthal has a future as Frank Castle in the MCU beyond Daredevil.

Lastly he teased the progress of a Nova series. All Winderbaum would say is,

“It’s in development. What I’ve seen so far is extremely positive. Tonally the vibe is extremely cool.”

What do you think of what Marvel TV boss Brad Winderbaum had to say about Vision Quest, Ironheart, Wonder Man and the rest? What about his belief that Daredevil: Born Again could go for multiple seasons? Thoughts below as usual.
