Marvel Unleashes A New Deadpool Comic Series

Prepare for a wild ride as Marvel’s iconic mercenary, Deadpool, gears up for a triumphant return to the comic book scene in an all-new solo ongoing series. Scheduled to hit shelves in April, this exciting venture will be led by the dynamic duo of writer Cody Ziglar, celebrated for his work on Miles Morales: Spider-Man, and artist Rogê Antônio, renowned for his contributions to Venom and Carnage’s blood-soaked escapades.

In this highly anticipated series, Ziglar and Antônio promise to catapult readers and Wade Wilson himself into a fresh era brimming with Deadpool’s signature blend of violence, lunacy, and, of course, a healthy dose of familial drama. Brace yourselves as they introduce a formidable new archenemy, Death Grip, whose name might just live up to the ominous threat he poses. As the storyline unfolds, Deadpool’s daughter, Ellie, will take center stage, adding a layer of complexity to the narrative that is sure to captivate fans.

A New Era Unfolds for the Merc with a Mouth, and More Weapons Than You Can Count

Ziglar and Antônio have mapped out a rollercoaster of an adventure for the Merc with the Mouth, promising readers an exhilarating experience. Death Grip, the chilling new villain, is on a relentless pursuit to ensnare Wade in his deadly clutches. However, Deadpool isn’t one to succumb easily, and amid the chaos, it seems all work and no play might turn Deadpool into a very dead boy.

Cody Ziglar expressed his excitement about helming the Deadpool series, stating, “Wade’s been one of my favorite characters since I first got into superhero comics, so being asked to helm a Deadpool series was a dream come true. I look forward to diving into and exploring Wade’s family (found or otherwise), his unique approach to being a (mostly) unkillable mercenary, as well as see what kind of whackos they bring into his orbit.”

Adding to the anticipation, Rogê Antônio shared his enthusiasm, saying, “Deadpool has always been on the list of characters I’d like to draw one day, and that’s finally happening! For me, he is one of the most fun characters and allows me to play with him a lot, artistically speaking. I can’t wait to see readers’ reactions!”
