Marvel keeps on expanding their reaches into the TV-sphere. It wasn’t enough that they already had a grip on ABC and Netflix, but in order to reach pretty much every demographic known to mankind, they’ll also be appealing to the YA crowd — or the “becomers,” as they’re coined by the Disney-owned network Freeform.
The network has been home to annoying shows like Shadowhunters, as well as surprisingly strong shows like The Bold Type. But what about Marvel’s new endeavor, Cloak and Dagger, which has been in the making for what feels like 87 years? If you’ll recall, we’ve even seen a trailer for this already.
Now, a few months in advance of its June release, we got a brand-new promo. The promo in question does a good job of highlighting both the male and female lead of this trailer, and it all culminates in a shot that falls in line with its tagline, “Two Paths. One Destiny.”
For about 50 seconds, we see both characters going through their day-to-day lives in split-screen. Their days differ in both slight and extravagant ways, but no matter the path, they end up leading into the same destiny, with the pair meeting up in an alley.
