Part of what makes FX’s Mayans M.C. so special is the amount of balanced attention that they are able to give to each of the characters. Of course, there are going to be some characters that just by the nature of the show are going to get more time. But that does not mean that we are going to lose track of anyone Carla Baratta’s Adelita has been amazing ever since her debut in the first season of the series.
We got to know her as the leader of Los Olvidados in Mayans M.C. But like many characters in this series, her journey is not linear. Now in season four, we find her alone and in search of the one thing that matters most in her life, her baby. It will be yet another way for showrunner, co-creator, and writer of the series, Elgin James, to peel back another layer of the character so that fans can have more ways to relate to her and be more invested. It will be interesting to see what more about Adelita we are going to learn this season.
