MCU Thus Far Confirmed As Earth-616 In Spider-Man: Far From Home

If you have seen the latest post-Endgame trailer for Spider-Man: Far From Home, you will already be aware of Marvel starting to bring in the Multiverse to the MCU, maybe?

In the trailer, Nick Fury confirms to Peter Parker that Mysterio aka Quentin Beck is from another version of Earth, and that the seismic events of Infinity War and Endgame have allowed Beck to enter into our world.

But now we know a little more thanks to a clip that Mysterio actor Jake Gyllenhaal showed on The Ellen Show earlier this week for Spider-Man: Far From Home. Unfortunately, this clip was pulled from appearing online, so unless you watched the show, there is currently no way to see this footage. Not to worry though, because we can describe the important part for you.

In the clip, Beck further clarifies that Peter Parker’s version of Earth is Earth-616 and that Beck is from Earth-833. Now, Earth-616 was also the main reality of the comic books, and whilst there were crossovers, the central vein was always Earth-616. It’s pretty cool that they are bringing this into the MCU as well.

As for Earth-833, well there’s less to tell here, in the comics this was the reality of Spider-UK . When he was about to be returned home it was noticed that his entire reality had been destroyed, leaving him the sole survivor of that part of the Multiverse. How this relates to Mysterio or the Elementals from Spider-Man: Far From Home is anyone’s guess. One thing I think we are all pretty sure about, is that Mysterio isn’t going to be completely on the level.

Check our related section below for a story about a scene Tom Holland thinks will literally pack a punch to audiences in the movie. Well for me, I reckon he is talking about the turn of Beck against Parker in the movie, which I expect to happen. Could this mean the whole Multiverse thing is a lie? Possible, but it could also be completely genuine and still Beck is really interested in himself more than saving anyone?

I guess we won’t find the answers to these questions until July 2nd. In the meantime let us know what you think of the MCU establishing itself as Earth-616 in the new Multiverse? Share your thoughts in our imagination emporium in the usual place below.
